Go for a walk on a Bus.

27 Walkers braved the elements on our NippyBus 'Lost the Plot' Walk. Pictured here looking over the River Yeo.

This was a pleasant walk of about five miles, starting in Ash, walking part of the River Yeo, and finishing up at the very hospitable Crown Inn in Longload.

Demand Responsive Service

Here we go again, this time it is North Street!
Once again residents. landowners and walkers are pitted against each over a 'rights of way' issue created by, who some describe as. the notorious and self styled Parish Paths Liaison Officer, Rear Admiral Peter KIdner (Rtd).
We surely all want a pragmatic sensible solution to this and all footpath problems that arise which are satisfactory to all concerned. In this case one obvious solution may be the creation of a new pavement?
Land grabbing and self interest aside what is the problem, how can we resolve it? Or will it take the death of a pedestrian, maybe a child, before the powers that be wake up and realise common sense needs to prevail.

Aiming High....

Who says South Petherton kids are not adventurous?

Well, it is a recreation ground, isn't it?

The Best of Somerset Walks.

The very best of South Somerset walks are planned and vary between three and seven miles. Sundays we walk out of South Petherton, Martock or Hinton St George, Wednesdays we support our local 'Demand Responsive'  Nippy Bus Service on our many and varied Nippy Bus Walks. Bus passes do apply. It doesn't matter If you live in South Petherton, or are a visitor to the area, you are more than welcome to join us. The are no membership fees, committees or silly rules, just come along, there is nothing to stop you!

Explore our site.
We are walking twice a week,
Walks are listed on a regular basis and include our Nippy Bus Walks which introduce walkers to the surrounding rural areas.

The primary objective of our group is to introduce people to 'healthy' social walking (and talking) in so doing supporting local South Petherton and Martock business and amenities.
