A personal view of South Petherton
Hanna Nicholas and Liz James (formerly Hebditch) have been sharing research for many years, being cousins three times over through the HEBDITCH, VAUX & HARDING families. The families lived in South Petherton or the surrounding villages for at least 400 years.

Hanna and Liz decided to create a website (www.southpethertoninformation.org.uk) so that transcribed records could be shared with fellow researchers.

On the on web site you will find records of
South Petherton parish records
South Petherton & surrounding area non-conformist records
Positions held in South Petherton parish
Soldiers of South Petherton

You can also find
Photographs of South Petherton.
The transcribed diary of Benjamin Hebditch (1791-1861)
Information on Field Marshal Lord Harding The Vaux family
Other people have since helped us by offering photographs and sharing information so the web site keeps on growing.
